February 17, 2018 – Milling
I spent the evening leveling the guides, milling quietly :)
Here’s what came out:

After milling, the headstocks fit perfectly into place.
February 19, 2018 – Frame installation
Marked the subframe and drilled mounting holes, then set the frame in place.

February 20, 2018 – Replacing bearings in the front headstock and making the tailstock clamp

Looking for suitable hardware, I found an old plate and a piece of metal rod, and made a support from the profile tube so that the clamp wouldn’t rotate while fixing the headstock.

February 22, 2018 – Tailstock quill

Preparing drawings for the quill combined with a revolving center for the tailstock.
March 5, 2018 – Motor installation and first startup
